What great advances has AI done in the past year?
I asked both Copilot and ChatGPT what great advances has AI done in the past year. I wanted to compare their answers, so I won't copy and paste both here.
It was interesting that ChatGPT named number one the breakthroughs in agentic AI where AI can plan and complete tasks independently. Copilot didn't even give that a mention.
Copilot's number one was AI doing well on tests designed for them.
Copilot did name China as having making strides in Open Source AI, and this is causing serious competition for the US.
The rise of reasoning was number two for both platforms! Other things that were common for both were everyday life and workplace usages.
Only ChatGPT referenced science and medical accelerations. I am personally hoping that AI grows in this area to help get people healthier.
